Allison Hannah Fay, a painter and intermedia-artist, grew up in a small town on the north shore of Long Island who currently lives/works in New York and the Hamptons.

Informed by history, media, and pop culture, she reinterprets personal experience through a female lens. Her works uses irony and wry humor to explore and reveal the traumas of the female experience while maintaining a sense of play and lightness. Her oversaturated and saccharine imagery invites the viewer to dissect their own relations to the works and the space it occupies. Through the recontextualization of traditional and decorative patterns and objects, taboo subject matter becomes approachable and open to exploration.

Allison holds a B.F.A. in Painting, a B.A. in Arts Marketing and Management and a Minor in Art History from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
